LED Picture Lights - Zero heat, zero UV, 10 year bulb life

These lights have an LED Warm White light source which has an output similar to normal halogen bulbs, yet with no heat or UV. It conforms to the Global Museum standard for LUX brightness level. Power consumption is just 7watts.

The lights are normally powered through a 240v/7v transformer, either hidden behind the picture or placed remotely. When the transformer is placed remotely, it can be connected to the lamp in the frame though the invisible wiring system. Self adhesive copper twin foil self-adhesive tape, just 0.004 inch think is applied to the wall surface. Decorating tape is applied over the foil tape, and when painted or papered over it is almost invisible. Very thin standard wire can also be used. Many lights can run from one socket with separate transformers.

Another option is to fit the rechargeable battery pack, with 20 hours life, behind the frame. The fitting time is about an hour, assuming a nearby wall socket is already in place.

A fully fitted option is also available - we can cut out a channel in the wall, re-plaster and re-decorate.

With only 7v if anyone drills through the tape, there is no safety risk and the lamp often keeps on working.

The LED is housed in a traditional style picture lamp. This screws to the back of the frame or to the wall for extra illumination, extra LED's simply slide in.
